CIVIL AND E&M WORKS FOR REPLACEMENT OF PASSENGER LIFTS (BATCH 3A) (CONTRACT NO.: C9321-23C) Prequalification for Civil and E&M Works for Replacement of Passenger Lifts (Batch 3A) Contract No.: C9321-23C Expressions of Interest are invited from suitably qualified Applicants for the works described below. This procurement is subject to the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement. 1. Background Information MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the Contract C9321-23C: Civil and E&M Works for Replacement of Passenger Lifts (Batch 3A). The Contract is for the modification of associated ABWF, Civil and E&M work to facilitate replacement of 19 nos. passenger lifts at Urban Lines and AT&D Lines. 2. Scope of Works The scope of works includes the following: Modification of the existing 19 nos. lift shafts with all necessary structural modification, wall trimming and reinstatement work to facilitate the lift replacement and installation. Modification of the existing E&M, Fire Service, ECS and associated building works for lift system include, but not limited to structural steelwork, support & interface bracket for lift motor, guiderail, landing door header, door sill, cat ladder to lift pit, hoisting bracket, etc.. BD submission and approval for approximate 10 nos. lifts. 3. Deadline to Return Answers / Information Suitable Applicants shall receive a prequalification invitation via the E-Tendering System. The Applicants shall complete and submit all required information and details via the E-Tendering System no later than the time and date specified in the prequalification invitation letter. All invitations and submissions for prequalification will be carried out through the E-Tendering System at http://www.hkextender.com. 6. Other Matters Applicants responding to this advertisement are deemed to have complied with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance in the collection and transfer of personal data to MTR Corporation Limited. All information submitted including personal data, shall be used by MTR Corporation Limited for the prequalification of tenderers for this contract. Applicants shall note and make themselves aware of the Corporation’s ethical and probity requirements which shall be applied throughout the tender and contract periods. Further, Applicants shall not, and shall ensure that its directors, employees, agents and sub-contractors shall not, offer or give any advantage as defined in the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap. 201) to any employee or agent of MTR Corporation Limited. Any breach or non-compliance with this paragraph by the Applicant shall, without affecting its liability for such breach or non-compliance, result in its application not being considered. Applicants shall not apply for prequalification as a single entity if you intend to act as a supplier, sub-contractor or sub-consultant for another entity who shall also apply for the prequalification, or if you are a partner in a joint venture established to seek prequalification for this Contract. Companies having linkage to each other, e.g. subsidiaries, holding or sister companies, shall not apply for prequalification as a tenderer for the same contract, whether as a single entity or as a partner of a joint venture. “Sister company” shall mean all companies which are subsidiaries of or otherwise belonging to the same holding company. The existence of a holding-subsidiary relationship shall be determined in accordance with the provisions in Sections 13 to 15 of the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622) of Hong Kong. Companies having linkage to each other shall elect which company shall apply for prequalification.
